I don’t know if it’s just me, but this summer seems to have gone too fast again; but this summer is full of exciting updates!
Things have opened up and it’s been about getting out in the sun and meeting friends where we can.
Most of my students have a break for the summer, but I do offer teaching slots throughout the summer, except for the last two weeks in August. I always have those off whether we go “away” or not, just so I can have a break to readjust, and get ready for the new term!
I’ve been keeping myself busy over August too, as in my Facebook Den I’ve been offering the chance for customers to put in special requests. It’s been quiet for Tropic customers over the summer holidays, simply because people aren’t stuck at home anymore! They’re out enjoying the sun, and so they should be!
That said, I have had a few requests!
Those who put smaller orders in got a surprise, but I played Zelda: Ocarina of Time theme tune to a Zelda fan, “Sleeping Sun” by Nightwish to a Nightwish fan, and “This is Me” to a Greatest Showman fan. I’ve also got some Beatles and Elton John music lined up this week! (With hopefully more to come before the month is up!)

The advantage to being able to sight read, is that I have a fairly quick turnaround between request and performance. I’m gaining confidence every time I play, and people can tell. It’s a great shared experience for fan and artist alike!
The new term is looking exciting too.
I’ve opened up my teaching slots to allow for new students, including a Thursday in addition to the original Monday and Wednesday sessions.
That’s just as a piano tutor though!
As the “Tropic Pianist Gamer” there’s even more exciting updates on the horizon!
I’ll be co-authoring my first ever published book, which launches on 10th October. Preorders will be available from 28th September (Kindle versions) with paperback copies being available at a later date!
What is it about? Well, it’s about 15 different women, telling 15 different stories, but each with the same theme: How they came from darkness to find their passion, power and purpose!
