Gaming has run through my veins for most of my life. My dad was a gamer when I was little, and my brother and I grew up with consoles and PC games for many years. I dipped in and out as a teenager due to bullying, but eventually I found a love for Nintendo specifically when I met my husband. We met in 2007, and through our love of Mario Kart we formed a great relationship. Fast forward to our wedding and we had a subtle Super Mario Galaxy theme, with a Mario Kart (DS) time trial for the bridesmaids/groomsmen…

and it was from that, what is now known as “Nintendo North Wales” was born! North Wales was known in its circles as being one of the most inclusive and active communities in the UK (Nintendo Players UK) hub. Right up until March 2020 we had regular physical events based in Bangor, Gwynedd with competitions, occasional national qualifiers, and raffles! During Covid times we had to move completely online, but we survived, and are back to physical events now. 2022 saw us return to our “home” venue, and we’re back to normal events now, with 2023 including more collaborations!
On the national side, I have also been admin of Nintendo Players UK since the end of 2015, and since introducing an elected committee in September 2020, I have been serving as Head Admin since then alongside my team of 9, and Nintendo Players UK is striving to become the number one hub for Nintendo Players across the UK and Ireland!
My favourite games series are: Splatoon, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing & Tetris. Generally I just like games with good multiplayer capabilities, as I’m very much a team player and community driven gamer!
